I am sure you have seen the national real estate stories or read my previous posts about the real estate market . The fact of the matter is, the market is not crashing, it is simply cooling down. New and existing homes are both selling, only at this time last year, they were selling at a faster rate and for a higher price.

The amount of sales are expected to fluctuate for the rest of this year while remaining at historically high levels. March exhibited more sales than previous months based on data from NAR (National Association of Realtors).. A NAR representative stated that the market is "clearly stabilizing."

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) created brand new remodel limitations, which will impact older St George, Utah homes . The EPA demands that lead training, certification, and safe work practice requirements for builders involved in remodels on houses built prior to 1987. By the year 2010, they hope to to get rid of the public health concern of lead poisoning.

Lead has been used in paint for so many years and is a highly abrasive metal. It may cause a slew of health issues and children younger than six are most at risk since their nervous systems are not yet totally developed. If you haven't seen my other posts in regards to the St George, Utah real estate market, then I am certain you have noticed the national news stories. The overall outcome of all of this is, the market is cooling, not crashing. New and existing homes are both selling, but, last year, they were selling at a faster rate and a greater price.

You can make your second St George, Utah home more appealing to vacationers by installing one thing, a hot tub. Generally rental homes without hot tubs bring in $14,000 less than homes with hot tubs. A hot tub will pay for itself several times over, regardless of the up-front cost.

Despite a slight drop in ordinary St George, Utah apartment rentals, student housing remains steady. The median growth rate for every form of student housing has gone up by 7 percent, according to a recent report. The greatest increase, from 9 to 13 percent, was seen in homes with +3 bedrooms.

The majority of leases run the typical year and remains by unit, not by bed. St George, Utah homeowners renting to students might find this news valuable.
